"Take Stock in Stockton"

Stockton is a Kansas PRIDE Community

What is Kansas PRIDE?

The PRIDE program is a volunteer grassroots effort to improve the quality of life in communities.  Since 1970, the Kansas PRIDE program has assisted and encouraged communities to prepare for the future by building on their heritage and forming a vision of the future.  The goal of PRIDE is to help maximize community and economic development efforts by encouraging all groups to coordinate and work collaboratively for community betterment.

The program depends entirely on volunteers who are interested in working together to improve the quality of life.  Communities instill a sense of personal ownership and pride through self-help projects.  Examples of PRIDE projects include:  city wide cleanup, downtown revitalization, park development, youth involvement, and special events.
